Being lied to really pisses me off.  Sure, these people may actually get by with a lie for a while.  Do they not think that sooner or later it will come to light? I recently learned that I was lied to by someone I love.  Not once, but several times over months about the same thing.  So, when this person lied, they realized they had done something not right.  Otherwise they wouldn’t have lied, right? How do you do that to someone who you love, and who is depending on you to be truthful? The funny thing about lies is nothing.  They’re not funny at all.
